A welcoming community is comprised of institutions, systems, and policies that are accessible and provide the opportunities for its members to prosper.
The ISCC works to build Calgary as a welcoming community to ensure immigrants become a part of the Calgary community. ISCC is working in partnership with the City of Calgary and the United Way of Calgary and Area in leading the Calgary Local Immigration Partnership (CLIP), which works to bring together key stakeholders to impact seventeen essential Welcoming Community characteristics. This work coupled with ISCC’s work with The City of Calgary on its Welcoming Communities Policy will help to ensure that Calgary is a community for everyone.
